Our portfolio company WeRide, the leading global commercial-stage company developing autonomous driving technologies from Level 2 to Level 4, has officially unveiled its latest generation of Robotaxi - GXR, the world's most spacious production Robotaxi model to date.

Leveraging WeRide's extensive experience of over 1,800 days in public Robotaxi operations and Farizon SuperVan steer-by-wire intelligent architecture, GXR integrates WeRide's self-developed full-scene L4-level autonomous driving hardware and software systems, open-concept spacious mobility designs, the next-generation Sensor Suite 5.6, and the HPC 2.0 high-performance computing platform, redefining the autonomous driving experience.

Equipped with a comprehensive redundancy system, including architecture, F-O steer-by-wire chassis, computing units, and braking systems, WeRide GXR effectively prevents single-point failures and ensures passenger safety. The new HPC 2.0 high-performance computing platform delivers over 1,300 TOPS of AI computing power, efficiently meeting the vehicle's computing demands. 

As a production Robotaxi model, WeRide GXR boasts industry-leading L4-level capabilities for public road operation, easily handling complex scenarios such as peak traffic hours, mixed traffic conditions, and high-speed driving at night.

GXR adopts WeRide's next-generation Sensor Suite 5.6 (SS5.6), which features an aerodynamic and compact design with over 20 sensors, including high-performance, low-cost LiDAR, high-definition high-dynamic cameras, and an RTK high-precision inertial navigation set. SS5.6 empowers GXR with 360° blind-spot-free perception and 200-meter front detection, covering extreme scenarios such as high dynamics and low light conditions.

WeRide GXR offers an impressive vehicle length of 5,018 mm, an interior cabin height of 1,340 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,100 mm. It is the first to eliminate the front passenger seat, freeing up more space for passengers and achieving the highest "space efficiency" in the Robotaxi industry. The second row provides over 0.5 meters of legroom, while the third row offers over 0.4 meters, ensuring ample stretch and comfort for all passengers.

WeRide GXR introduces the world's first hidden B-pillar design, allowing the front door and sliding side door to open simultaneously. The door opening reaches up to 1,831 mm in width and 1,285 mm in height, creating an expansive entryway that allows passengers to enter and exit the vehicle with ease.

WeRide GXR also features a designated carry-on luggage area that accommodates at least one backpack and one 22-inch suitcase. Passengers can load their luggage and board the vehicle with a single door opening, eliminating the need to access the trunk —saving time and effort, especially for business travelers.

Safe
Safety is WeRide's top priority. WeRide GXR ensures protection not only during driving but also within the vehicle's interior. The cabin features soft-edged design elements to provide baby-level safety care. 

Each of the four doors has emergency exit signage, and the center console contains a gradual stop button and a safety hammer for breaking windows in case of emergencies, allowing passengers to exit quickly and safely when needed.

Calling a WeRide GXR Robotaxi is simple with the WeRide Go App. Once GXR is open to the public, passengers can use the App to locate GXR operating zones, select the nearest pickup point and destination, and tap "Call Now" to start their GXR journey.
